After a lifetime of migraines and practice searching for wonderful Wellness tools since 2009, Cat has discovered some of the very best out there. No more need to waste your time trying to find “which is best”! Some are higher cost and name brand, others lower cost. All of these products have been tested personally by Cat and each tool or device below mentioned has specific reason for being on this list, so please ensure you read the text provided so that you purchase the “right” one. Colors are up to you, but the sizes of items usually have a reason. She’s already done the testing and comparing, these specific tools are the ones she recommends. These tools are in no particular order with the exception of the one she rates #1 (the Hypervolt!)

In Cat’s personal and professional experience, there is no better tool outside of your own body than this one. YES, it has to be THIS brand. YES, Cat has tried MANY other brands. There are many reasons THIS “massage gun” (professionally referred to as a percussion tool) is the one used by the professional sports players and in the best assisted stretching businesses. Whether you buy the small version for travel (make sure to separately purchase the extra heads, because

the Hypervolt Go2 only comes with one head) or the large version for home, you will not be disappointed. If you do not “have time” to stretch, if you are sore, if you are gearing up for exercise, if you want to prolong your muscles lifespan, this is the device. There is a newest version in the $400+ range, which although nifty, isn’t necessary. Cat currently has the original Hypervolt and separately purchased the heated head (available on their official website : https://hyperice.com/get-hypervolt/). Most of her Clients purchase the HypervoltGo2, which is a small version that is physically lighter, typically easier to manage, and easier to travel with via plane.

Liforme Yoga Mat

Cat has tried many yoga mats. There is a less expensive option below; however, if you are dedicated to regular practice, you will understand the differences. Functionally this mat *actually* stays flat, no rounded edges after unrolling it. No matter how many times you roll and unroll it, this mat will come out flat. The grip on this mat is unmatched. Socks or no socks, heat, sweat, cold air, carpet, wood floor, it doesn’t matter - the grip sticks. The thickness is no memory foam, so for elderly people or those with severe arthritis, foam mats would be advised by Cat; however, this mats thickness is perfectly average and in no way thin. Thin mats tear easily - this one even Andre the Giant would’ve had a tough time tearing. Visibly, the alignment lines are beautiful. Cat always

encourages her Clients to start with a mat that has alignment lines so that they can become accustomed to properly finding greater symmetry, balance, and ultimately safety and structure. So although alignment lines may seem “silly” or useless - they absolutely are not. She has been practicing yoga since 2009 and still loves her alignment lines. This mat comes in many different colors and is often on sale, so keep your peepers peeled and you may get a remarkable discount.

Jade Yoga Mat

On Cat’s first expedition to New York City in 2021 there was only one yoga studio still in full, drop-in operation available on the island. They had one class that she barely made it to in time, huffing

from running out of a cab and up the many (many) flights of stairs. It was a beautiful, tiny, wood-floor studio with no entryway to speak of other than a shoe cubby and a door opening. Beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows overlooked the busy city. She didn’t have a mat (didn’t have a good travel mat yet), so the operator of the event let her borrow a blue one in the back of the class. She loved it. She loved the class. She loved the smell. The feeling. Everything. So, after class, she asked the gentleman if she could just buy the mat. He was shocked. After stuttering from this confusion he said, “it’s expensive.” Cat said, “I don’t care how many feet have touched this thing, I want it.” $40. Used. With all the memories. Since then it’s been her favorite to-go mat because it has grip, it doesn’t take long for the edges to smooth out if at all (depends on how it’s been stored), it doesn’t bend with heat, and it has decent thickness. Downside? No alignment lines.
